Osteomyology is used as a form of treatment for musculoskeletal dysfunctions and draws upon techniques used for chiropractic, physiotherapy and osteopathy. Osteomyologists follow a specific code and are registered with the Association of Osteomyologists. Osteomyology is a proud profession and sometimes confused with Chiropractic, Osteopathy and Physiotherapy. Osteomyology in itself combines a myriad of alternative health disciplines to deliver a wider range of treatment modalities and manipulative therapies. Manipulation of restricted joints by an osteomyologist can relieve symptoms for back pain, neck pain, muscle aches, headaches and a wide range of musculoskeletal dysfunctions. In addition to Osteomyology manipulative therapy, we combine physical modalities including interferential and therapeutic ultrasound to aid in recovery of damaged discs, muscles, ligaments and tendons.
